To promote international academic exchanges and broaden students' global perspectives, Central Police University (CPU) organized two overseas academic study tours to sister schools during the 2026 winter break. The first delegation visited the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) in the Philippines, while the second delegation traveled to Rutgers University–Newark in the United States. Both programs combined academic coursework with practical visits to law enforcement and maritime agencies, yielding excellent results and enriching the students' experiences.

Following the remarkable success of the inaugural program in 2025, the academic exchange with sister schools in the Philippines continued in 2026. UST, one of Asia's oldest universities, has signed MOUs with prestigious institutions such as National Taiwan University and has cultivated countless outstanding talents. PMMA stands as the country's premier institution for training professionals in navigation and maritime affairs. In addition to foreign language studies, students engaged in on-site visits to police and coast guard units, facilitating the exchange of law enforcement experiences across different cultures.

The U.S. exchange delegation is visiting its sister school, the Newark campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (commonly known as Rutgers Newark), for the first time. Rutgers Newark is a renowned public university in the U.S., specializing in public administration and criminal justice. During this visit, in addition to taking courses in American public administration and criminal justice, students will tour the city hall, emergency response center, police stations, Essex County Courthouse, and visit New Hampshire College (where Dr. Lee Chang-Lin, a world-renowned forensic expert, is employed), the United Nations Headquarters, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO)in New York. These activities will enhance students’ in-depth experience of American culture and academics, broadening their international perspective.

This academic visit and exchange not only allowed students to gain from language learning and police academia, but also provided them with a deeper understanding of the social and cultural contexts of different countries. Central Police University hopes to continue enhancing cooperation with international sister schools through such academic exchange activities, further deepening future exchanges, and cultivating law enforcement professionals with international perspectives and professional competence.
