Deepening Academic Exchanges with Sister Schools: Central Police University Study Tour to the Philippines

publish date : 2025-02-19
To promote international academic exchanges and expand students' global perspectives, Central Police University(CPU) organized a study tour to the Philippines during the 2025 winter break. The study tour, held from January 5 to January 25, 2025, featured a rich and diverse program of academic workshops and on-site visits. This marks an important exchange activity following the sister school agreement between Central Police University, the University of Santo Tomas (UST), and the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA).

In May 2024, CPU President Yang Yuan-ming led a delegation to the Philippines, where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UST and PMMA, officially establishing the sister school relationship and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. The successful promotion of this study tour was also supported by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, which facilitated substantial exchanges between the institutions.

This study tour not only enabled students to gain knowledge in foreign language learning and policing studies but also provided them with the opportunity to deeply understand Filipino society and culture, which will have a profound impact on their development of a global perspective. CPU aims to further strengthen its cooperative ties with its sister schools in the Philippines through this study tour, deepen future exchanges and help students become outstanding law enforcement professionals with an international outlook.
