Central Police University Holds Drone Application Exhibition and Drone Soccer Competition

Central Police University held a "Drone Application Exhibition" and a "Drone Soccer Tournament" on September 1, 2024, aiming to enhance faculty and students' understanding of drone development and applications while fostering their interest in the technology.
President Yuan-Ming Yang, in his opening address, underscored the vital role drones now play in modern law enforcement and disaster relief efforts. "Drones have become essential tools," he stated, "demonstrating immense value in criminal investigations, disaster prevention and response, maritime patrols, and traffic management." To foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, the university invited participation from key agencies, including the Ocean Affairs Council Coast Guard Administration, the New Taipei City Police Department, the Taoyuan City Police Department, and the Taoyuan City Fire Department. This collaborative approach aims to build a strong foundation for future partnerships between the university and these agencies.
The "Drone Soccer Competition" was another standout event, bringing a new competitive angle to drone technology. This competition tested participants' flying skills and highlighted the importance of teamwork, adding a lot of fun and challenge to the event and providing an enjoyable educational experience.
