The Central Police University sent personnel to the United States and South Korea for advanced studies, cultivating future public security talents.

The president of Central Police University Chen Che-wen attaches great importance to cultivating talents and actively facilitates and selects outstanding colleagues to study abroad. Lieutenant Cheng Yu-Sen and Tsai Tsung-Han are the 5th and 6th outstanding cadres who have been approved by the selection process since the school's "Selecting and Sending Outstanding Civil Servants to Study Abroad" program started.

Lieutenant Cheng will study Ph.D. program at the Institute of Criminal Justice and Policy of the University of Mississippi. It is the first time that the Central Police University has send someone to the United States for a Ph.D. after many years. Lieutenant Tsai will pursue his master’s degree at the Institute of Public Security of the Korean National Police University. He is the first Taiwanese to obtain the qualification for public-funded training at the Korean National Police University, which opens a new way for Central Police University to study abroad.

President Chen met with the two cadres on the morning of August 8, 2022. In addition to affirming their positive spirit of learning, President Chen also cared about issues such as room and board when studying abroad. When talking about Lieutenant Cheng's future dissertation research topic on "Technology Law Enforcement / Smart Policing ", President Chen shared his practical experience as the chief of the Aviation Police Department and the New Taipei City Government Police Department, as well as his experience of visiting policing in Boston, Berlin and the Netherlands. The president also encouraged Lieutenant Tsai and hoped that he could observe and learn more about the education model of Korea Police National University. Then provide reference and inspiration to Central Police University after returning to Taiwan. In the end, President Chen presented souvenir pens and masks, wishing them to take good care of their health and successfully obtain their degrees, and hope that after returning home, they can contribute to the school.
