Central Police University Established Partnership with Office of Labor Inspection, Taoyuan to Improve the Campus Safety

Central Police University (CPU) held a signing ceremony with Office of Labor Inspection, Taoyuan on April 8, 2022, so as to improve campus safety and health, promote the prevention of occupational injury, put an end to hazardous workplace, and provide a safe environment for teachers and students. CPU Chief-Secretary Chun-Heng Huo and Director of Office of Labor Inspection Xian-Xiang Li co-signed a partnership agreement and a partnership declaration, which were witnessed by the Secretary General of Taoyuan City Government, Zhi-Feng Huang, as well as the Commissioner of Department of Labor, Hong-Guo Wu. This indicated that CPU’s determination to keep tabs on campus security and expected the concept of occupational safety to be widespread.

Through the partnership with Office of Labor Inspection, senior labor inspectors will be able to conduct immediate diagnosis for potential risk factors to eliminate dangers from happening. What’s more, by holding executive forum to facilitate experience exchange of safety and health, benefits include diagnosing the integrity of occupational safety and health management system, disseminating protective measures of faculty’s physical and mental health, counseling on the improvement of safety and health equipment in workplace, and training management personnel on safety and health. CPU looked forward to collaborating with experts from labor inspection agency and exerted synergistic effect to improve professional knowledge and performance management of safety and health, assure the safety and health of CPU’s teachers and students, and prevent occupational injury.

According to the pandemic prevention measures, attendees of this signing ceremony were all disinfected by alcohol, checked by forehead thermometer, and requested to wear face mask during the ceremony.
