Grade Three Special Examination Police Cadets Class 109 Training Completed
On November 30th, 2022, Classroom 102 at the Continuing Education Training Center of the Central Police University (CPU) was the venue for the grand closing ceremony of the grade three special examination police cadets Class 109. This distinguished group consisted of 15 administrative police officers, 2 crime prevention and corrections police officers, 3 police legal affairs officers, as well as 2 administrative management officers. These graduates hailed from various universities throughout Taiwan and successfully passed the police grade three special examination to qualify as members of the CPU. Thereafter, they underwent an intensive educational training program spanning 22 months. All cadets excelled in their respective examinations and successfully graduated from this rigorous training. The next day, they would commence their duties in their respective allocated departments.
The Director of the Continuing Education Training Center, Tsai Tien-Mu, hosted a grand closing ceremony attended by a total of 85 individuals, including the center's commander, associated officers, and the cadets' relatives. The ceremony was beautifully decorated, with the walls adorned with memories of the cadets' 22-month educational training journey. The cadets underwent a rigorous training program that included comprehensive coursework, physical training, and a five-month internship in substantive agencies. During the internship, they served as police officers for two months, sub-lieutenants for one month, and were assigned to every division in the designated precinct for two months, gaining a deeper understanding of police duties and honing their leadership skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Additionally, the class 109 cadet had diverse backgrounds, having majored in various fields such as foreign languages, computer science, Chinese, history, sociology, economics, mechanical engineering, law, psychology, and public administration at different universities. They were able to integrate their specialized knowledge with police theory and practical skills to become interdisciplinary officers. Throughout their training, the cadets displayed positivity and teamwork in various activities, such as the CPU Singing Contest, Sports Day, basketball and volleyball competitions, and more, showcasing their passion for their work. It is hoped that these ambitious and idealistic "freshmen" will bring new vitality to the police force.
At the closing ceremony, Director Tsai delivered an inspiring speech, urging all cadets to uphold the values of "diligence, cautiousness, integrity, and professionalism." He emphasized the critical role of these qualities in serving the country with distinction, approaching problems with thoughtfulness and care, maintaining unwavering ethical standards, and handling public affairs with competence and expertise. The Director also highlighted the significance of continual learning and personal development, encouraging the cadets to strive for excellence in their service to the nation and take pride in their achievements as a testament to their hard work and dedication. As the ceremony drew to a close, the cadets bid a fond farewell to each other, parting with heartfelt well-wishes from their loved ones. It was a moment of immense pride and accomplishment as these dedicated individuals prepared to take on the challenges of serving as leaders and protectors of society, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values instilled during their rigorous training at the Central Police University.
