Central Police University carried out a 3-week recruit training in order to ensure that each CPU new student can understand the education purpose and the rationale of cadre establishment and development. All newbie complete the education of mind, spirit, body strength and concept during the training.

The 2014 recruit training lasted for 16 days, began on August 11th. Trainees include 4-year undergraduate program (high school graduates), 2-year undergraduate program (in-service police officers) and graduate program (graduates from ordinary universities) in a total of 408 cadets. The training classes included the introduction of the environment, stamina training, bearing training, basic military training, manner training and group living adaption, etc. Led by the squadron officers and sergeants, the trainees were in training of all aspects ranging from walking, parading, sitting, living, eating, clothing, housing, manners, bearing, and tidiness to discipline obedience in order to cultivate good habits and offer proper instruction and encouragement.

Through the high standard training, the approval ceremony was held at August 26th, the entire trainees had shown their ambition and passed the approval exams with the best bearing, sonorous singing sound and indomitable spirit and then become one of the new members of Central Police University with sweats and tears.

Of all the trainees, the international cadet from our diplomatic ally, Saint Kitts Nevis, Alrick C.J. Edwards Sutton, took the training like any domestic students also passed the training. He then joyfully started his four-year undergraduate life in CPU after all the hard works.

Freshmen pass on the lifeblood of the school and the freshmen training has always been one of the most traditional educational activities in our school to get all the freshmen prepared for four years of life in school. The training also aimed to promote the confidence of the freshmen and make them understand the vitality and passion of police works.
