CPU Ren-ai student club along with the volunteers from Taoyuan Youth Center hosted a Children’s Day Party in Min-Sheng Hospital on April 1. Themes of crime prevention were delivered by ice breakers, songs, short plays, and dances. Children all enjoyed the program with laughter.

Because those children might spend their Children’s Day in the hospital, this event was to spread love and care from outside world. Students from CPU asked the doctors whether this event helped the children overcome their obstacles. The answer was definite.

Police offices have a lot of tasks that are related to the public, such as responding to calls, household visit, patrolling, neighborhood watch, and traffic control and safety maintenance. Therefore, the training should include how to interact with the public.

Central Police University is the only university in our country to cultivate our police cadres. To fulfill the faith of all-around education, Ren-ai student club was established at 1978. The club leads the students to discover urgent social issues and make serving plans to actually enter the communities to provide help. During the learning process, the students are expected to develop the ability of sensation, passion and compassion through consecutive services and feedbacks.

Helping is the source of happiness. CPU supports clubs to host various activities and get involved in community services. For example, the activity of guarding the kids studying in nearby elementary schools and the “2014 Standard Chartard Charity Marathon” running guide volunteering are the most significant ones. These activities were to open students’ minds, develop faith, and deliver love. Through the process, the students were hoped to become police cadres with excellence.
