In order to welcome master program of the class of 102, freshmen of four-year program and two-year program, as well as students of 23rd police class, 33rd commissioned class and 17th fire service class in the extended education training center to join the CPU family, a welcoming party of "heritage night" was hosted at 7 pm on September 26th, 2013.

The theme of this year was "the journey to the west". It was composed of different forms of performance so as to show the spirit of our school, to understand the process of learning in our school, and to present the special connotation and terrific tradition of CPU.

This whole performance showed not only the students' efforts, but also their versatile abilities. This night was planned and executed by the student club of 80-1 and 79-2, and under the supervision of the Department of Students Affairs.

The performance was fantastic and successfully completed. At the end, the school's vice-president led the four freshmen represensitives, including Yi-Wen Chen from the extended education training center, Ya-Ting Fang from the class of 102, Lu-Dee Lin from the class of 80-2 and Cheng-Yo Shu from the class of 82-1, to light up the "fire of the heritage", which symbolizing the heritage, and passed on to all those other participants. This whole event was concluded in a touching atmosphere.
