The 2013 fall semester teaching seminar was held at the Lecture Hall in CPU's research building from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on August 28th, 2013. 173 full-time and part-time teachers participated in this event.

The seminar was started with President Hsieh's speech, which emphasized on the great significance of communication. President Hsieh also thanked each participant's partaking in the seminar. Ever since the first holding of 2008 spring semester teaching seminar, this is the 10th symposium to accomplish a purpose of interacting at all levels.

The main purpose of such event was to reach a consensus of pedagogies, upholding the core value of our school, shaping our graduated pupils to be a model carrying law-based administration out and retaining neutral, complying with the ethical codes of government officer, attaching great importance to Computer-Processed Personal Data Protection and Gender Equality, and making our graduates grow into competent to be the guardian of people and justice.

The seminar also reminded all teachers to cooperate with the following school issues:

1. Make sure students understand laws of "Act of Gender Equality in Employment", "Act of Gender Equality in Education", "Sexual Harassment Prevention Act", "International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights" and "International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights" via teaching.

2. Care about students at all time, in case of pressure or abnormal emotion occurrence. Teachers should give immediate concern, response, and help them to get medical counseling. In the meantime, internal report and external contact should also be well conducted.

3. The three-tier emergency reporting mechanism of our school should be followed so as to handle crisis-dealing effectiveness and reinforce preliminary report, continued report and ending report. The mechanism was established in order to reinforce crisis-preventing and crisis-processing, such as sexual harassment, sexual assault, and drunk driving.

Professor Chuang, Rong-Huei, Dean of Academic Affairs of National Taiwan University, was specially invited to deliver an address within the seminar. Through his speech, we hoped to understand the external evaluation experience of NTU so as to benefit our school. Afterwards, Director Wu, Guan-Yuan of the Forensic Science Laboratory, explained the implementing at Dec 28th, 2013 of the Human Body Researching Law. However, the human body testing group of our school was yet to be authorized by related organization, thus, we were unable to censor any researching project. Later was Dean of Academic Affairs, Su Jhih Chiang's briefing about the setting up of the two colleges and the fire science graduate school, with the related office affairs.

At the end of the symposium, each department was arranged to convene their department meetings for idea sharing. The seminar pointed to a close satisfactorily at 13:30.
