Our school invited Mr. Wei-Zhen Hu, the Councilor from the Office of the President, to deliver a speech of "Impressive memories during my foreign affair works" on May 17th from ten twenty a.m. to twelve p.m. at the auditorium.

Councilor Hu divided his speech into six parts, including "Working experience in South Africa" , "African poverty: Malawi and Senegal" , "President Ma's trip to three countries in Africa: Burkina Faso, Gambia, and Swaziland" , "Severance of diplomatic ties between US and Taiwan" , "Secretary Wu-Shi Hu" , and "The other foreign affair friends, Minister Yu-Juin Lu" . He shared his inspiration from his experience and mentioned his basic working principles, tasks, and attitudes.

Councilor Hu said, the basic principles were as follows:

  1. Be an independent person;
  2. Help others, help yourself;
  3. Be united with races that treat us fairly and fight together.

And then, the tasks were as follows:

  1. Provide our country with valuable information;
  2. Conduct foreign policy;
  3. Serve our and overseas students;
