In cooperation with the government's carbon reduction and campus greenification policy, a tree-planting activity was held at the lawn in front of the activity center from 10:30AM to 11AM on 11th March, 2013. President Hsieh led first-level directors and nine student representatives to plant trees.

350 Taiwan cherry and 92 Taiwan Incense Cedar were planted, and they will be taking care of by 442 students of the Student Corps. Through promoting "Campus green thumbs adopting activity", students would learn life wisdom from nature, and let consideration and benevolence be printed into their hearts. CPU will keep on promoting this activity so as to fulfill the wise Chinese idioms "It takes ten years to grow a tree, while a sound education program may require 10 times as long before it takes root."
