Central Police University was invited to participate the "2013 University & University of Technology Exposition" which was held by Want Want China, Ltd., in the sports center of National Taiwan University on Feb. 23, 24, 2013. Several outstanding students from different departments were selected to join the event and help enroll students.

During two-day activity, Central Police University was one of the most popular one among all the schools. All of the faculties and student representatives did their best to answer various questions to the parents and provide as much information as possible.

There are two academic programs in CPU: Nature Science and Social Science. To apply CPU's undergraduate program, students submit their college entrance examination grades and apply online. Four out of five scores of college entrance examination grades will be taken. Students can only select one group from them when they fill out the online application. Undergraduate programs are tuition free. During their study at CPU, students must live on campus and are required to take senior police cadres training courses. There are 13 departments, 12 graduate schools and 3 doctor programs in CPU. Those departments are categorized into science and liberal arts.

The amount of student numbers each year depends on the needs of police departments. Central Police University expects to recruit 316 students this year, including 129 boys and 26 girls of the science and engineer departments, and 126 boys and 35 girls of the liberal arts departments. There are 255 boys and 61 girls in total.

After students graduate from school and pass the Grade Three Special Examination, they will be distributed to different law enforcement departments, including National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, National Fire Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Coast Guard Administration, Executive Yuan, Department of Corrections, Ministry of Justice, and etc., to serve as sergeants or the official of same position. Some chiefs of law enforcement departments currently in office, like Minister of Coast Guard Administration, Director General of National Police Agency, Director General of National Fire Agency, Director of Ministry of Justice, are all graduated from Central Police University. Some alumni even become judges, prosecutors and diplomats, to preserve the social safety.

Central Police University is the top school of policing education in Taiwan. In order to cultivate distinguish police officers, training and education courses are well designed. Students receive not only from ordinary academic courses, but also some police profession training programs, such as Judo, wrestle, shooting, swimming, long distance running, and comprehensive arrest technique. Central Police University especially put emphasis on the moral education, hoping they will be qualified for the positions.

During the opening ceremony, Shiou-Neng Hsieh, president of CPU, especially took the "modern Holmes", Dr. Henry Lee, as example. Encouraging those ambitious teenagers to apply for Central Police University, and to live an extraordinary life as the guardian of "Justice".
