Music concert of Japan and Taiwan cultural exchange
Ten members from Japan Taishogoto association, led by director Etsuko jin Jiang, visited our school and held an performance on September 6th, 2012. Taishogoto, Japanese zither, and dongxiao are unique instruments of Japan. Taishogoto was invented by Kawaguchi Jinzaburo, who lived in Nagoya, on the first year of Taisho era. It has been widely spread through Japan. It looks similar to the Chinese zither, but smaller, and also needs to be placed on a table . Taishogoto had a long history in Japan; its members had reached a number of four hundred thousand. Visiting members are mostly between seventy and eighty years old. They played six enchanting Japanese songs with confidence and energy. Audiences were moved by the happiness spread from the music. CPU also played two songs by Chinese music club, zither club, and guitar club; and a touching musical ensemble named "When Will You Come Again? " was performed at the end of the show which gained a round of applause among the audience.
