Many students wish to devote themselves to carry out their dreams of maintaining social justice. Central Police University (CPU) participated the "2012 University and Technological College and Junior College Expo" which was held in Taipei and Kaohsiung on Feb. 25, 26, 2012 .
In the recent years, school has become a competitive school due to its good facilities and student quality. CPU attracted many students and their parents during the University Expo. The frequently asked questions are its admission information. In addition, the President of Central Police University, Dr. Hsieh Hsiu Neng had been invited to speak on the opening ceremony. Many teachers and representative students were also there to answer the questions.
The most concerned topic of the visitors is its admission requirement. To apply CPU's undergraduate program, students can apply online and submit their college entrance examination grades along. Four out of five scores of college entrance examination grades will be taken. There are two academic programs: Nature Science and Social Science. Students can only select one group from them when they fill out the application form.
During their study, students not only take professional subjects and moral education, but also need to take physical classes such as judo, shooting, arrest tactics. They have to pass 3000 meters running and swimming test. Besides that, students have to live on campus from Monday through Friday. During the summer vacation, they have to go to police station to have their practical training, in order to help them realize the situation of the public security and prepare for the future works.
Central Police University contains 13 departments, 12 master programs and 3 academic programs. The college graduates are encouraged to go for further studies or degrees in any university after they work a period of time.
In the college exhibition, we took the chance to cooperate with Taipei and Kaohsiung police station to promote crime prevention and anti-fraud activity. In the exhibition, we displayed police motorcycle, police duty equipment, which caught a lot of attention for students and parents to take a photo. We effectively advertised features of Central Police University and the showed the determination to strike crime and anti-fraud with government.
So far, many of our prime leaders or managers of policing, fire fighting, immigration, sea patrolling and criminal adjusting officers in Taiwan are Central Police University alumni.
