In the past years, our government is trying to promote gender mainstreaming through various channels and gender consciousness has been listed as one of the important issues.

The Women nationality affairs conference was held on May 2011. One of the discussed issues "Personal security and judicature" was brought up that professional education courses for police should also include gender equality and personal security protection. Gender consciousness, anti-discrimination, multi-culture, and empathy should also be included in course setting.

With the international trend of gender mainstreaming, Central Police University has started "gender issue and law enforcing" as an obligatory course. This year with the CPU celebration of the general education week, the "gender issue and law enforcing" is the main discussion topic. Through activities, students gain significant knowledge and awareness of gender consciousness.

Four prize-winning movies were showing during the celebration, including "Milk" , "Prayers for Bobby" , "My life is pink" , and "Breakfast on Pluto". During the celebration, the school invited two transgender-people to share their experiences. One was the spokesperson of Taiwan cross gender rights association, Mr. Kao hsu kuan, who talks about "Changing from a girl to a boy". The other is the assistant professor from Miao Li national united university, Miss. Chou de Jung, who shares "Changing from a boy to a girl". Through the effort and sharing given by these two guest speakers, all participants have learned the importance of gender diversification.
