On October 1, the well-known scholar and writer, Professor Richard Chia-Tung Lee, delivered a talk at CPU. As a Catholic, Professor Lee followed God's words to devote himself to the community. He spend time with prisoners in Taipei prison and military prison (now the Taiwan Human Rights Memorial) and tutored primary and secondary education students from low income families English and Math during his undergraduate years. He edited several English and Math learning books to improve students' learning ability significantly.

Professor Lee delivered the talk, "books and movies I love" , in a humorous way. He encouraged students to read more in their free time to enrich humanities accomplishment. The speech has brought very strong impacts to the audience.
