2020 CPU Student Summer Internships starts from July 1 to July 30. On July 1. Directors accompanied both graduate and undergraduate internship students to their workplace and completed registration. A total of 651 full-time including master, bachelor and two-year college students participated the internship. They are assigned into different agencies related to the educational objectives of CPU, such as the police, fire control, maritime patrol, immigration, correction, and the National Security Bureau.

There are 11 full-time graduate students participated internship. Eight of them are engaged in the second stage of internship, which is the duty of sub-lieutenant or equivalent position. The other implemented the first stage of internship, which is the duty of police officer. There are 283 junior students who have completed the third-year course and carried out the second stage internship, which is the duty of sub-lieutenant or equivalent position. 272 sophomore students have completed their second-year course and implemented the first stage of internship, which is the duty of police officer, marine patrol, immigration, correction, and other work. There are 85 two-year degree working students who are currently police officers, firefighters, and marine patrol officers. They are assigned to police, fire control, and maritime patrol agencies to engage in the internship, which is the duty of sub-lieutenant. They would return to their original workplace to serve after internship.

CPU takes internship as a part of education. Students of the same department would be arranged to the same workplace (except for students of the two-year bachelor's program in the department of fire science). During the internship, their advisors visit them as routine. Students must follow the duty schedule according to their supervisor, and follow the rule on duty. They would integrate theory with practice and realize the purpose of experiencing the real situation in the workplace, experience what they have learned. By combining theory with practice, students enrich their knowledge and ability so as to lay a good foundation.
